I tend to write long replies, multi para and novella style. You are never obligated to match length, but similar effort in replying will be expected from partners.I prefer plotting and do not think it is possible to 'overplot', since my muse may react differently depending on the content of the thread. Another Time, Another Life [Alternate Universe where she survives Castrus Fluminis]

Originally born to the Naeuri family, Yotsuyu was orphaned at a young age and sent to live with her aunt and uncle. They forbid her from attending school, instead putting her to work doing hard labor in the fields and taking care of all manner of petty tasks around the household. They were extremely emotionally, verbally, and physically abusive towards her- Cruelties that were not enacted upon her adopted step-brother, Asahi.Barely a teenager, she was married off to a wealthy noble named Sashihai- An elder male more than several years her senior and an alcoholic. He only paid Yotsuyu mind when expecting her to follow-through with her 'wifely duties', often staying out all night at the gambling houses.When Sasihai finally died of gout-induced kidney disease, Yotsuyu was made aware of his insurmountable debts that had yet gone unpaid, so the responsibility fell to her. She was carted off to a brothel and barely had time to acknowledge the increasingly dehumanizing atrocities befalling her, becoming almost catatonic.Despite her circumstances, she managed to become a preferred and vaunted courtesan, eventually being given a mission to seduce and spy upon an imperial unit protecting the Garlean Crown Prince- Zenos yae Galvus.Yotsuyu's wiles had zero effect upon Galvus, who blandly inquired about her opinion on the state of Doma, as well as her own prospects and life within the pleasure house. Dropping her mask, Yotsuyu allowed all of her pent up rage and vitriol to emerge, citing Doma's society and rigid cultural norms as the reasons for her miserable excuse for a life. Every slight and every pair of eyes that looked away from her abuse were perfectly catalogued in her mind's eye and she relished the thought of watching them 'look away' while their own countrymen suffered under the empire's oppressive boot heel. This interested Zenos, who installed Yotsuyu as the new acting viceroy of Doma after he had crushed their rebellion and killed Lord Kaien.

Yotsuyu plans to abolish the Doman Liberation Front and the Warrior of Light at Doma Castle, ordering her troops to fight until death. When cornered, she seemingly crumbles and bemoans her past, only to reveal she was buying enough time to have the castle collapse on the survivors. She fails at killing Hien and the Warrior of Light and breaks down into tears at her powerlessness as the the building falls around she and Gosetsu, who stayed behind to give his leige and the WoL a chance to escape.Yotsuyu and Gosetsu manage to survive, though she has suffered extreme memory loss, becoming more akin to her child self. She follows Gosetsu everywhere and seems to only care about eating dango, seemingly oblivious to all else. Gosestu initially thinks she is trying to deceive him, then realizes she's not the same person she once was. He calls her 'Tsuyu' to keep her identity under wraps as they make their way back to the Doman Enclave.She is poised to be put on trial as a citizen of Garlemald, an offer that Hien agrees to. Asahi forces a painful reunion between Tsuyu and her aunt and uncle, which triggers her memories to come flooding back.Originally planning to commit suicide out of guilt due to Gosetsu's kindness, until her aunt and uncle find her again and begin callously discussing how to 'turn it around' by selling Yotsuyu again to reinstate their status as wealthy citizens. She brutally murders them in a long overdue vengeance.Thanks to Asahi's plotting, he convinces Yotsuyu to use a surfeit of crystals staged at Castrus Fluminis to become the Primal, Tsukuyomi. She truly believes she is far beyond redemption and earnestly fights to the death against the Warrior of Light. She manages to save the last of her strength after being bested in order to lure in Asahi, killing him with the vestiges of her powers before dying- finally, at peace.
